Independence Day Celebrations
L’ecole celebrated 69th Independence day last week and displayed a great sense of pride we take in our identity as Pakistanis.
The ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of Quran which was followed by a recorded speech of our beloved Founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
PYP students sung the national songs with so much enthusiasm that the audience could not resist, but join in. These melodious tunes uplifted the spirits of all and touched every soul with love for country. Powerful speeches by MYP students highlighted the role of some remarkable women like Fatima Jinnah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousufzai in Pakistan. SYP students performed a thought provoking skit with a strong message.
This occasion awakens a sense of unity and responsibility when we recall the sacrifices of our forefathers. On this day we chose to pay homage to an amazing soul we lost recently, a world renowned Pakistani Humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi. His exemplary contributions in service of mankind have carved an ideal path that every responsible member of our society strives to follow.
Closing remarks were made by the Principal expressing appreciation of the efforts that our team at L’ecole had made with the students for this event.
